A: PAC Pooltemper works similarly to an air conditioning system. A fan draws ambient air into the unit through an evaporator coil, which acts as a heat collector. The refrigerant absorbs this heat and changes from a liquid to a gas. This gaseous refrigerant is then drawn into the compressor, which compresses it to increase its temperature. The high-temperature refrigerant is then passed through a heat exchanger to transfer heat to the pool water, raising its temperature. The refrigerant then returns to a liquid state at a lower temperature and pressure, flowing through an expansion valve and back to the evaporator to continue the cycle.
